The city is immense and full of options for all tastes, with a good offer of luxurious hotels, trendy hostels and places of greater tranquility. Learn how to choose the perfect place for you to stay in Rio de Janeiro! We know it can be very complicated to locate yourself in this city so big and so complex, so we’ve organized some tips to help you choose where to sleep. Generally, beachfront accommodation has the highest values. However, as everything in the Zona Sul is relatively close to the beach, it can sometimes be interesting to choose places that are close to metro stations, due to the greater ease of getting around.   The neighborhood with the most accommodation options – and also the most popular – is Copacabana, but you can also find good, charming and trendy hotels and hostels in Arpoador, Ipanema and Leblon. These, however, are the highest value neighborhoods. Another charming and quieter neighborhood to stay in is lagoa, but it is a place of more difficult locomotion, because there is no subway, traffic in lagoa is usually more complicated. Leme is usually a more family and quieter neighborhood, and is approximately a 15-minute walk from the nearest metro station, walking along the promenade. The most important options in the South Zone are in Botafogo, Flamengo and Catete. All these neighborhoods have a subway station, and although they have a coastal strip, their beaches are within Guanabara Bay, where bathing is not recommended. There are so many and so varied options, that we are sure that you will find the perfect place to stay!
