The headquarters building of the museum is a separate work of art, as well as its gardens, located in Aterro do Flamengo. Where once a disabled pier was seen, it gained a postmodern, technological construction, and at the same time organic and sustainable. It is a museum of arts and sciences, with the mission to warn about the dangers of climate change, environmental degradation and social collapse. The building has all been designed for energy efficiency, and its solar spines move according to changing weather conditions. The main exhibition is mostly digital and focuses on ideas rather than objects. The museum has partnerships with important Brazilian universities and global scientific institutions and real-time data collection on the climate and population of space agencies and the United Nations. Installed at The Boa Viagem Lookout in Niter\u00f3i, with its futuristic fa\u00e7ade, you can enjoy panoramic views both outside the museum and from the inside. Apart from the contemporary art exhibitions, there are countless activities that take place at the museum with the aim of encouraging artistic production to transgress the internal spaces and expose itself in public spaces, precisely where people who are not from the art world are. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mhn.museus.gov.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Historical Museum<\/a><\/strong> This beautiful museum located in Pra\u00e7a Marechal \u00c2ncora, in the historic center of the city, is dedicated to the history of Brazil. It was created in 1922 as part of the celebrations of the Centenary of The Independence of Brazil and has a vast collection of about 300,000 pieces, which correspond to 67% of the Brazilian museum heritage. They are manuscripts, iconography, furniture, armaria, sculptures, clothing, among other items in the collection. The neocolonialist architectural ensemble was built on what remained of the ancient Fort of St. James and the Dungeon Prison.
